Sjecam se kinderbeta, sjecam se igranja svemirskog broda u krevetu (pokrijem se plahtom i eto mene u svemirskom brodu), ali se ne sjecam uspavljivanja...
Ostatak familije uglavnom je sjedio pred televizorom a svakodnevni ritual je izgledao tako da sam ih, spremna za pocinak, pozdravljala uvijek istom recenicom: Laku noc, vidi kako sam lijepa!
Onda bi me drzala pored prozora i govorila mi kako me voli do neba, do Sunca, a ja bih onda mami postavljao pitanja, “I do zvijezda? I do Mjeseca?”, i ona bi mi odgovarala…
''Cetiri ure je mati hodila, pedeset miljari koraki je ucinila na taste... I donila glas da je koza krepala''... Nikad ne bi zatvorili vrata do kraja, da ulazi malo svjetlosti, i da me mogu kad god cut.
Nacela koja upravljaju danasnjim svijetom jesu nacela ubrzanja i ekspanzije i sve kljucne pojave i procesi zahvaceni su njihovom vrtoglavom dinamikom. Proizvodnja, potrošnja, ratovi, primirja, prirodne i covjekom izazvane katastrofe, bogatstvo jednih i siromaštvo drugih, prikrivene istine i javne lazi, rastu i šire se brzinom koju je sve teze pratiti, odnosno, koja sve više otezava percepciju stvarnosti. Svega je previše i precesto - i to u dramaticnim razmjerama - da bi opstalo u kolektivnoj ili individualnoj memoriji dulje od vremenskog intervala izmedju dva TV dnevnika ili izdanja dnevnih novina. Prezasicenost zapazanja vodi ka gubitku kriterija za klasificiranje informacija po vaznosti, a potom i gubitku osjecaja za vaznost samu. Gubitkom vaznosti postupno nestaje i smisao. Nije li to idealna prilika za one koji (misle da) upravljaju ubrzanjem i ekspanzijom svijeta da, usred pre-smisla i pre-vaznosti, (misle da) kroje povijest po svojoj zelji, kad se sve ionako pretvara !

I remember the children’s bed, I remember playing the spaceship in the bed (I cover myself with the quilt and there I am, in the spaceship), but I don’t remember being lulled to sleep…
The rest of the family was usually sitting in front of the TV; it was the daily ritual that I, ready to go to bed, would greet them always with the same sentence: Good night, see how pretty I am!
Then mother would be holding me by the window and tell me how she loved me to the sky and to the Sun, and I would be asking her, “And to the stars? And to the Moon?”, and she would answer me…
“Mother walked for four long hours, she made fifty thousand steps… And brought the news that the goat had died…” They would always leave the door ajar, so that some light would still be in my room and they could hear me at any time.
The principles ruling today’s world are those of acceleration and expansion; all major phenomena and processes are affected by their vertiginous dynamics. Production, consumption, wars, truces, natural and men-made disasters, the wealth of ones and the poverty of the others, concealed truths and public lies – they all grow and spread with a speed that is ever harder to follow, or rather, a speed that increasingly obstructs the perception of reality. The amount and frequency of everything is too abundant – and in dramatic dimensions – to survive in either collective or individual memory longer than the interval between two editions of TV news or daily newspapers. The satiety of perception leads to the loss of criteria for classification of information according to importance, which is followed by the loss of sense for importance itself. Losing importance gradually brings the loss of sense. Is this not an ideal chance for those who (think they) administer the acceleration and !
expansion of the world to (think they) tailor history by their own whim, amid over-sense and over-importance, when everything turns anyway into non-sense and non-importance?
